3169 was a DCC 7nhp engine, 3 speed and double geared, fully sprung sitting on 7' rear wheels and 4'7.5" front wheels.
The 'wood' component of the SCC is a cast square dish which was provided on the colonial engines, presumably to help with sparks etc. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?mbrryk
