I shouldn't worry about fabricating if correctly done - this is the method being used on two full size recreations that I know of.
I have numerous A4 / R drawings - feel free to ask if you need something that I might have. Have you posted anything about your engine - as it must be similar to mine I am interested to learn more about it. Cheers Carl.
