MERL did have a lot of online pics of various makers in catalogues etc. This bears what Piers says.
One with an independant pump and two lengths of hose has always struck me as being very usefull. Suck the water out of a stream to fill the tank with the pump. Then pump it out of the cart into an engine, or trough or whatever. Given you can buy a modern cast iron pump for the neck end of sod all Id be tempted to adapt one of these.
