![]() Getting there early may not help, the Camp site rows usually run away from the event.
One Year I got there very early on the Monday and was in the first row, (Pre paid 2 on the Map) but at the far end near the Main Road. It was a long walk uphill back from the Beer Tent late at Night but still better than the other end, Kelders Organ is loud. It is usually possible to move to a better position later if you see one. |

![]() We stayed at the Lincoln rally for the first time two years ago and camped over in the public camping area which was reasonably quite.Last year we had a pass as we were crewing for the weekend and pitched up behind the fairground. Not a bad place although a couple of girls decided to play swing ball at midnight and were told quite politley to get lost by my son, mind you he had been up twenty one hours and was slightly drunk.Needless to say this year its two tents!

![]() If I might just add my bit
As a visitor I took the wife for a few days to GD and paid on the gate to camp. We were sent to the camp site up on top of the hill. Why oh why do they expect people to camp on a freshly ploughed field full of large lumps of chalk. Oh what fun we had trying to get the tent pegs to hold, the queuing for the toilets, the ripping cold in the middle of the night. And then there's the walk into the site, not to bad on the way in but uphill at 11pm to get back to the tent wasn't a highlight. The following year I borrowed a friends camper and had a MUCH better time.
