Whatever, I think they've done a cracking job. And ,as said above , if she was a showmans at some point in her working life, then its down to the owner as to what he restores her as.

I think there is discussion at crossed purposes here!

If I've followed it correctly, the summary is as follows:
The 'showmans' is an ex-Angola road locomotive - so quite clearly NOT a genuine showmans, and has never been one.

The engine shown by David at a sale, minus cylinder, is 7871. This engine apparently DOES have showland history. Whether it ever became a fully fitted showmans or not is a different matter.
