For those wanting to enjoy more of the relaxed atmosphere there are two more events there this year.
On 3/4 August is the Rail Gala with Challoner as the visiting loco this year. Several of the traction engines based at the Park will also be in steam/on display and engine and trailer rides will be available.
On 29th September is the Open Day. All the non-steamable but moveable engines are normally also out on display, trailer rides are again available, road making, sawing and winching are demonstrated and there are various visiting engines ready for the Sussex Steam Engine Club road run.
