Just Returned from the weekend at Llandudno, and it was a goes weekend, the weather has held off all weekend as it turns out!
One of the Attractions of Llandudno to me over other steam rallies is it is a bit different being in the town, rather than on a field. If you look at one of Dave's pictures, the black and white one, what a wonderful image it is, in a victorian town. It could be made even more victorian with various other exhibits, but I still like my weekend in Llandudno every year. There is a lot of sourness about no rollers, I have a roller, and I know it would not be invited, but hey, there are lots of other rallies it would be made welcome at which I apriciate. There is lots of other interesting exhibits and exhibitors to see/chat to, which make up for it for me. Anyway thats my oppinion, but then Llandudno is a special place for me anyway. Greaat Pics Davidje, Captured the moment, and I love the black and white one. Hope you enjoyed the ride on the other old passenger carrying vehicle Cheers Dave

I looked at the images from 2 years ago and there seemed to be more going on then than there was this year. Some people may feel that these were an important part of the overall ambiance . . ..
The girl with the big balloons: SORRY, The girl with the big balloons: The girl with the long legs (and big balloons): The two men in black cloaks with their truncheon in their hands: The man with the big horse: The trucks: The tractors: And last but not least, Miss Whiplash But you can still talk to the birds: Or walk along the prom. Some things will never change . . . |

Glad to see my next door neighbours were there for one day anyway. As for the pier I certainly hope it will change - back to what it used to be - and capable of permitting ships to call. Since 2007 the berthing head has been closed and the Balmoral and more importantly the Waverley cannot berth in Llandudno.
If that does change, and there are proposals afoot - I'll let you know. |
