Default Driffield 2015

After Saturdays great day out at Astle Park Sunday brought another haulage display at Driffield to entertain the crowds .
Nice to see the Marshall portable out and running looking very nice indeed .
Shame the sun was obscured during the parade by cloud and excessive smoke making photography challenging but day thoroughly enjoyed

The Marshall "Black Bess" looks grand now after its repairs and paint.

Burrell 3929 ex Isaac Ball. When it worked for Balls that canopy would have been forward of the chimney.

Cracking photos, I will show them to our club members at one of the social evenings if that's ok., with an acknowledgement of the photographer. I hope everyone that attended as a visitor or exhibitor had a good weekend free from the hassle of unwanted visitors, it was an expensive necessity but had the required result. If we aren't careful they will destroy the rally movement due to high cost of adequate security. Thanks to everyone who helped make it a success, we collected a record £2900 for Cancer research during the Saturday night road run. Harold Bell Chairman of East Riding Engine Club

Default Thank you

Thank You Mr Bell for this post.
It is nice to know that the hard work of ALL can raise that amount of money in just 2-3 hours. I think there was more people than ever out on the streets. My sister in law just could not believe it, it's like been a royal waving at all the crowd.
Well done all.
