Built c.1865 by A&W smiths of Glasgow and is numbered 136. The engine has been completely over hauled with no part being left untouched by Roger Pridhams, the work was completed in 2006 and the engine has seen little steaming since then. The motion work was also rebuilt with all new bearings. The cylinder has been re machined and a new piston and valve made. 4 new wheels were made to the original design as the wheels it arrived on we're not original but sections of the original wheels were in the box of parts that came with the engine and the fore carriage was rebuilt where necessary. Lagging was not fitted to show of the variety of rivets that were used in the boiler construction, which is the same as the original wrought iron boiler. Research has shown that this could well be the only portable built by the company and is at this time the only known example. It was used by them to install their equipment all over the world.
Also for sale is the Humphries Drum, the only known working example in the country!
