Default Brunel's Royal Albert Bridge Saltash Revisited

Copies of the above book written by myself, Thomas Bowden, in 2009 are now available. The book is a 72 page A5 format book with colour covers and was published in 2009 to coincide with the 150th anniversary of the opening of the bridge in 1859. The book has been out of print since 2010 and I had 100 additional copies printed to coincide with the publication of my recent article about the bridge in "Vintage Spirit" and the subsequent review in the current issue.

The book has the following chapters:

Brunel the Engineer, Crossing the Tamar, Construction - The Centre Pier, Construction - The Bridge, Floating & Raising the Trusses, The Opening Ceremony, The Bridge 1859 - 2009, Signalling the Bridge, The Bridge Builders, Tales of the Bridge, Viewing the Bridge, Epilogue, Bibliography, Acknowledgements.

The books is illustrated by black and white photographs and line drawings.

Copies are available from me at a cover price of £5.99 and I am able to give TT readers free postage on all orders. Societies and clubs wishing to purchase copies for resale can do so at a discounted price by either emailing me or by sending me a PM.

Payment may be made by PayPal, Cheque or Postal Order and requests for my email address for PayPal payments or for my postal address for other methods of payment may be obtained by sending me a PM.

All copies of the book are signed unless you request otherwise and they all come from a smoke free home.
