Default Welland Steam and Country Rally 2012

As I've not had the chance to visit as many rallies as I would of liked to have done this year i'm pleased that the final one I visited, Welland, had a good turnout of engines consider it has been rescheduled from earlier in the year. The weather has also been very pleasant all day too!

I do hope you enjoy viewing some of the photo's I've taken today.

As usual, many more of my photo's from today can be found by cliking here

Very nice, thanks - what is the black Fowler Road Loco, is it 'Midnight'? Wasn't aware there was a preserved railway in the area, or was it specially built for the event?

I heard someone had pinched Whistling Willie's engine. Hope it went as well as a certain Fowler roller

The line was specially built up the side of the carpark over the summer months, using track that used to be at Titley Station on the Presteigne Branch. There are rumours that it might be extended for next year to connect to the line that the steam crane runs on.

You meant you travelled several hunded miles round trip to go to Weland in preference to Woodus' Carnival a couple of miles down the road with good company???

I can only assume we worked you and Casey too hard last weekend and you needed a rest.
