Default Darley dale 11.9.11

Just some of the fun and frolics at Darley Dale Rally in aid of Mencap over the weekend of 10/11 Sept 2011. A jolly good time was had by all, the weather stayed nice except for a down pour Sat evening whilst everyone out on road run, and came back half drowned. A good turn out of miniatures, and lots of public support for this popular small rally.

What a great Rally, small, sociable very enjoyable, and all for a great cause!

Now come on I am sure there are many more pictures to come, there were a lot of cameras out and about, particularly on Sunday!

Obviously Mr Roose has somewhat of a penchant for dressing up in women's clothing. This fetish dates back at least 34 years!

Unhappy rear ends?

good thing there was a boiler expert on hand to help find the leaky tube... and a happy ending: as usual good steaming and a smile from Mick.

and to complete the show, more of the cross dressing.

(just as well that I was behind the camera)

Yes I cannot thank the two Good Samaritans for helping me out when a tube decided to leak big time. just after lighting up on Saturday morning, I was going to leave it till, I got home but Tony Baldwin [of AJB Boilers ] and Richard Gregory our illustrious steward, both good friends, insisted on doing it there and then as I had my set of expanders with me, and just having come through a recent cataract op I could not afford to get owt in my eye. Once again thanks to you both who did a splendid job as you can see on the broad smile on my face which allowed me to join in the fun of the weekend .And thanks to John for taking the photos. of the event.

Ahhh...I thought the engine had died being on it's side !.

And I had the same problem last year.

You soon realise who your good friends are on a rally.

Cheers
