Default Edenbridge rally this weekend

Hi All,
anyone thinking of going to the show, please don't bother because they have cancelled it due to the ground conditions. Cheers Ian

Got there last night, set up in the rain and woke up to wind and sunshine only to be told at breakfast it was off. The field was really dry and firm despite the rain as it had drained quickly. Was most p*ssed off to say the least but the one and only entrance was a bit squidgy. After a short sharp shower we left only to get well and truly bogged down with the caravan at the on closer inspection very squidgy entrance. Only just got out after unhitching and faffing about and trying again. Think on the balance of it Dave and the SCHVT team made the right call.

Lovely little rally this one and very disappointed but a hard decision taken correctly. Roll on next year guys!

Yes it was one of these where with the sun shining and the breeze blowing it didn't look too bad but that was without any damage caused by the visitors and the exhibits most of which hadn't turned up the day before. They were right to call it off - though I understand the landowner had a big say in it.

The land owner wanted to call it off the night before but the decision was taken at 8.30 this morning as the weather forecast was for a storm coming in. Apart from an odd shower it has been sunny in Kent all afternoon.

I hope this isn't the end for Gabriels farm as it was on the critical list last year and losing the entire years revenue plus refunding the stallholders isn't going to do the accounts any favours. We were really suprised to get an invite this year after what has been going on in the locality and certain hostile parties best efforts to get it scrapped.
