The Marshall Tractor 'The Hermit' i believe won a best in show (might not be correct wording but you get the idea) at Weeting this year, moved into the eastern counties region in the last few years or so i've been told.

I seem to remember that Firebar's Aveling has some funny pipework , perhaps the same ?

Really enjoyed our first visit. Lack of movement didn't really matter as there was so many engines I'd never seen before to go and look at.

Did anyone get any photos of the Saturday night run to the Dambusters Inn? What a brilliant atmosphere.

My Aveling is exactly the same. I have always assumed that it is to keep potentially vulnerable boiler fittings away from the belt to the drum or the sawbench.
