![]() Went to the Bronte Vintage Gathering last weekend, which was the first time I’d been to a rally with an engine. It was a really great weekend, despite steady drizzle taking hold from mid-morning onwards on the Sunday.
What really struck me as someone who is relatively new to road steam, was how warm and welcoming all the other engine crews were, despite me and my mate being relative novices!!! The highlight for me was driving the engine down into Cullingworth Village and up the steep (in my opinion) bank the other side up to the rally field, and then back again at the end of the rally. A huge THANK YOU to all concerned!!!!! Please see pics below: |

![]() I like the setting , great views in and around the show area .
Only thing I miss is the engines on the move , I have attend the event since 2005 and I have seen a steam parade around the arena ![]() Great show . |

![]() Yes, that would have been great, but I think this year it was simply a bit too wet!! Shame.
