We spent a pleasant afternoon here just outside Hay-on-Wye; along with Abergavenny it's probably one very few traditional steam shows in Wales (albeit by not much more than a mile).

To be honest we were a little disappointed as the steamers retreated to their pegs after a slow engine race and a ladies steering session following the parade. Yes, there were lots of tractors if you like that sort of thing but long gaps between arena events. I thought the Wye Valley Axemen (and Axewoman) were the 'best of the rest'.
10 years ago there was steam ploughing on the field now used as a car park and even the regular saw bench was missing.
