Bridgeport

Very new to this.
I am making a Little Samson 6 inch Devonshire and I am looking for a Bridgeport mill.
Anyone know of a reasonably decent one

Where are you based? I will be looking to sell a 'very decent' Bridgeport in the next few weeks. I am in Cardiff.

I have bought a few off eBay in recent years - for friends. There are some good bargains to be had if you are prepared to travel and don't rush into a purchase without first checking out the machine - impossible to do if the seller sticks rigidly to eBay's rules - i.e. not passing on contact details prior to a sale being made.

Beware , there are some real ' dogs ' out there . The Bridgeport is not a heavily built machine , and gets worn out on production work and lack of TLC . Do as Carl says and play a waiting game . I have been lucky , and happened on a good one at a silly price , but I would hate to go out on the open market , unless I had deep pockets .
