Default Welland Steam & Country Rally 2017.

With over 80 full size Steam including 5 out of the 6 of the Pat Collins engines that have survived, a total of over 1`000 exhibits at Welland in the various sections made for a very enjoyable week-end again this year, many thanks to the organisers, exhibitors, volunteers and general public who support Welland Rally.

The Fowler - about 15 pics up. Is that Dawn of the Century? It doesn't look big enough for D of the C, but I can't think what else it could be. I need to attend more rallies then I would know!

Cheers Carl.

First time Id been to the show properly. Arrived Thursday evening, was packed in tight with the low loader, got shouted at when I tried to move over a few foot to have a bit more room to get out on the sunday night. The place had more security than a high security prison, absolute no pass no entry.

There was plenty to see, wood sawing, Thrashing, Ploughing, Steam Shovel, Road making, the list goes on. Even the rain didn't ruin the show, although it was a bit slippy underfoot in places everyone carried on regardless, just a shame we didnt make it into the arena on the Sunday.

One of the highlights for me was seeing a few Steam Engines on the Dynometer, not sopmething ive seen before.

Also hats off to the coalmen for supplying the coal despite the ground conditions
