International Steam at Large 2017
Weather permitting, we continue to visit steam rallies in 2017, some familiar, some unfamiliar.

Birdingbury Steam and Country Show
On our way home from Rempstone and Papplewick we stopped off at the final Birdingbury Steam and Country Show just off the Fosse Way. It's always been a small village event and with the sad passing of the prime move Bob Munro, it seems the rest of the team felt his boots were too big to fill.

Weeting Rally 2017
Marvellous event, shame about the weather which was almost totally overcast save for late Friday afternoon and early Sunday before the rally was officially open. The pictures do not reflect how grim was the light:

Somerset Steam and Country Show 2017
Unfortunately, the show didn't get the weather to reward the effort made to improve the show compared to when we last went in 2015.
Not many shows can manage 7 ploughing engines and 3 pairs at work. Plus two direct ploughing engines although these were not active on the Sunday. http://www.internationalsteam.co.uk/...kindexlp17.htm
