You must be a glutton for punishment . Do you really want to be jacking up trailers and rolling axles about ?

Well , I thought the man said ' Classic ' , which I would reckon to be an old Scammell four in line , with a pair of jacks and a load of packing and some sleepers , and something with a Gardner on the front .

Have to confess I read the same as Bob, and having moved a DX with Peter Wood's Scammell and trailer just the once, I shuddered and thought I would sooner have an easy life!

The whole idea of rolling a knock out axle does not appeal to me either!

It's nice to see engines on "period" transport, but that's fine if someone else is doing it!!

Nicer to see them on the road mind!!

It is not the rolling the wheels about which is the back breaker , it is the jacking and packing , especially when that is whole sleepers , and it is wet and muddy .
