Default Old Warden 60th Anniversary rally 18.09.16

As usual Old Warden was an excellent event even as a visitor. Some photos of engines attending. I'll do a separate post of the engines with bling and twinkly lights

Do the front brakes work on the black Foden C type steam lorry?

Yes I believe they do, a conversion during its working life if I remember correctly. Owned by John Forshaw.

Here are my photos of the showmen's engines at Old Warden. Excuse some of the slightly dodgy tones and contrast of the pictures. I had my camera on an incorrect setting some of the time and I've had to put them through the Photoshop wringer to get some half decent images.

According to the programme:

Wallis No. 7732 built 1923

New to Thedwastre Disctrict Council Suffolk

Then Doran Brothers Thetford who intended converting to a roller but this did not happen..

Several other owners before being bought by Mark Loader in 1994; now owned by J Loader

Excellent pictures and especially nice to see "Century" and a couple of Fowells.

Fantastic day at Old Warden on Sunday , highlight for me was seeing McLaren 616 for the first time .
Never come across the engine before and given that it worked locally to me many years ago made my day.

Dave
