![]() The prospects did not look very good in the morning but it cleared up later, activities eventually started in the playpen when it dried up and continued until quite late, David Loader with the Earl of Eldon and other engines giving rides for a very worthy cause Air Ambulance, and other engines and Scammells in the playpen kept folks entertained until the evening.

![]() Carl,
Late Western has beat me to it he is correct of course and "Turbo" is the gentleman on the regulator on his Fowler, remember watching him down a hole at Torbay with the Fowler in 2015, less said the better perhaps about that. Yes correct also with McLaren "Mr Tweedie" of 1911, Built as 8HP 3 speed for export to Patagonia and used for hauling wool bales to port for export to UK, the Mclaren reimported back to UK in 2002 and has had an extensive restoration over 10 years which is very evident in the condition in which the engine is presented, I last saw it at Welland rally back in July this year. |

I took between the 2 days at Tarrant Hinton about 500 photos so should find a few more to post without duplicating, with a break from Rally`s now until Old Wardens I am away on Holiday, not a Cruise or a Beach in Spain or some far off destination but South Wales, down in "Big Pit" trips on some steam railways, another look at the open cast at Merthyr, Brecon Beacons down through Hirwain and look again at "Tower Colliery" and then the Miners and Steel workers playground Porthcawl with views of Port Talbot Steel Works, all a part of the UK that was so important like other coal mining and Steel working regions of the UK. |

![]() I got back around 4:30, but there was still a lot of people on site. There was nothing left in the auto jumble section, all cleaned up so I took the 4x4 around the playpen and through watford gap with the family. Not quite the same as being on an engine, but at least I now know what it looks like from your view rather that a spectator!!
