Default South Cerney 2016, Friday

We had a few hours here in the afternoon on our way to stay in London before Weald of Kent.

The report is here:

http://www.internationalsteam.co.uk/...kindexsc16.htm

I know at least two more engines turned up on Saturday, I have noted this, if there were others please let me know, similarly any errors.

The baby portable is indeed a Brown & May. I think the flat bit on the bottom of the flywheel is a balance weight. It is opposite the throw of the crank.

Thanks both of you for this. Have now noted this on the appropriate page. I note there are several 19th century examples listed in the TER.

I recorded the number from the rear of the cylinder block as 3679. This would put it between 1880 and 1890.

Definitely 1880 something, maybe 86 or 88. We had a good chat with Mrs Goddard about the engine. Lovely small portable engine and a complete contrast to the Marshall outside in terms of size. Not sure which one I'd rather have.

Out of interest do you know which ones were listed but didn't show up?

PM if you would rather.
