Looks a nice small gathering, i made it from Lincoln to the site just in time for the heavens to open & the show to be closed at 11.30am today, hopefully its 3rd time lucky next year

Default Fairford Steam Rally 2015

I have now uploaded a 10 minute clip of the steam ploughing with the K7 and Z7 (little and large) Fowler engines.

Definitely this offering was the highlight of the show:

I have never understood the point of calling the show off on the second day.

The costs are not affected. But you limit income from the gate. To me its madness.

To be fair Hedd, we had enough rain over the course of an hour that would put pay to most events.

They couldn't get public in the car parks safely as it was so wet. I can assure you they didn't take the decision lightly.

Fair enough,

But I've turned up to shows in the past, parked up, there with my tenner hanging out at the gate to be told to go home.

That is madness.
