whilst Robin was trying to work out how to get the beam back i suggested they brought it back by steam but gradually bring it back up from Cornwall. so it would go to different events then perhaps road it to dorset then do the 60 miles from dorset to are yard. and the response from Robin was "wouldn't that be fantastic" so it is a strong possibility it will happen. be interesting to know when the last beam was transported by road steam? |

![]() The beam belongs to the James Simpson Woolf Compound Engine that we have in our collection.
It is true, it will be back in steam at some point. However, Robin thought that the beam would appreciate a short 'holiday' in Cornwall and Trevithick Day seemed very appropriate. |
