I don't know if you know anything about Lott & Walne, but they were agricultural agents based in Dorchester supplying all manner of items agricultural from horse drawn equipment through to tractors and implements. Some years ago I had a Crossley type JJ lamp start engine built in 1903 that had their suppliers plate bolted to the engine bed. The company later moved into motor vehicles and changed their name to, I believe, Dorchester Motors eventually being taken over by the Wadham Stringer group.
