![]() Following on from the last two successful events in 2011 and 2012, this year's is on 5th and 6th October.
Exhibits can be seen at the Navigation Inn, Buxworth War Memorial Club, and around the Bugsworth Canal Basin (a scheduled ancient monument owing to its significance as the first interchange between a railway or tramway and a canal) Buxworth is on the B6062 off the A6 near Whaley Bridge, the postcode being SK23 7NE There will be 10-12 full size engines, some miniatures, a couple of fairground organs, and all the other ancillary stuff. Admission is again free as the engines will be scattered around somewhat, but this year we are collecting money (by voluntary donation) for both the local Air Ambulance Support lot, and for the Inland Waterways Protection Society who are responsible for the whole of the canal basin, and have some sort of expensive project in the offing. If anyone would like to come along with an exhibit of some sort, get in touch, and I will send you more details. When the Navigation get their website up again, more details can be found at http://www.navigationinn.co.uk/steamparty

We left about 5 when 'Fowlers are the Best' went to the bar to buy drinks all round (For him and John) with an armband that assured it was free . . I am sure he is a philanthropist in many other ways |

![]() On behalf of Roger and Jan at the Navigation, and the committee & staff of the War Memorial Club, I would like to offer our sincere thanks to all those who attended, whether as exhibitors or visitors. It was a fantastic turn-out, and I hope we looked after you all, and made you feel welcome.
I'd like to offer a special mention for Sue Ogden (Roger and Jack Dibnah's mum) who was responsible for organising the magnificent display of working narrow boats in the canal basin, and for their "grand parades" to the junction and back on both days. Thanks again, everybody!
