Default Buxworth Steam Party - 6th/7th October

Just a short note to advertise the Buxworth Steam Party on October 6th and 7th.

There should be about a dozen full-size engines, and whatever other tackle turns up. There's some free beer and food for engine owners, and hopefully other exhibitors, too.

It is held on the car parks of Buxworth War Memorial Club and the Navigation Inn, which is alongside the historic Bugsworth Basin, the terminus of the Peak Forest Canal, and interchange with the Peak Forest Tramway.

If you'd like to bring along your pride and joy, we'd be more than happy to accommodate you.

Contact me via pm on here for more info.

Jack

Andrew,

Glad you enjoyed last year's do, and I look forward to seeing you again this year. As for engines, as it's an informal get-together, there may be more or less than the following "potentials" list:

Fowler Single Ploughing Engine "The Chief"
Fowler Tiger Tractor "Lord Doverdale"
Frank Marchington's Fowler compound roller
Aveling GP Engine "Maud Foster"
Aveling Roller "Earl E Ryzer"
Sentinel Tractor "Maggie May"
Ruston GP "Hildary"
Ransomes GP 27596
McLaren Road Loco "Chatham"
Burrell SCC "Little Mac"
