I have been looking online most of today to try to find a cylinder boring machine with no luck at a suitable price. Trystans offer could well be just the job!

A mag drill did through my mind which you have now confirmed; I don’t have a mag drill one could easily be purchased second hand from eBay.

The advantage of borrowing Trystans cylinder borer would be the inbuilt feed

This may be a stupid question but what sort of support bearings are normally used as the shaft has to rotate and move forwards?

Thanks for the help and ideas.

Dave
