Default 50mm wide D shaped rubber or simular

Hi

I'm building 4" scale trailers and am trying to source some reasonably priced rubber to attach to the 50mm wide steel wheel rims.

I was thinking 50mm in D shape or simular.

Any ideas?

You might look for rubber buffer or fender sections , as used on vehicles , loading docks and the like , or the sort of stuff fitted to boats . Try a google on rubber sections . Leaks in Birmingham may already make something suitable .

I've looked for this in the past and found most fender sections are hollow but that's not to say someone, somewhere, does a solid one. I've just not found them yet.

You might try Walker Rubber

I have bought a number of different sections of rubber tyre over the years for horse drawn vehicles, all of which have been solid in section and in a similar size range which you are after. Worth giving them a call. They are always helpful.
