Tim set off in fine style from the Oaklands (Smallford) rally site this afternoon for St. Albans City station. In the meantime, Andy Caldow with his Foden wagon, and David Philpot with his Clayton arrived today. Our Chairman, Andy Harvey, steamed today from Crews Hill with Aveling 'E' type 'Dumpy' and Allen living van and have also arrived safely despite the joys of Potters Bar.

The sun is shining at St. Albans and most of the exhibits are now on the field. Several engines are new to the rally, including Martin Frampton's Fowler A4 No. 9279 ‘Kitchener’ and the Luton Corporation 'E' type.
