Thursford Museum Founders Day 2008

One engine which I am not too sure of the identity is this one:



The registration plate on the front and the rear reads NO 5898 however it was only when I got home and looked in the TER that NO 5898 belongs to F-Type roller 10324 also at Thursford:



I know this one is certainly 10324 because I got a picture of the plate.

Clearly the registration must have been swapped at some point, I think this first engine is 14008 which is the only late compound Aveling at Thursford.

If anybody knows differently or can shed any further light please let me know.

Thanks David.Great Photos despite poor light conditions, we must have passed each other as we photographed? Your information hopefully solves the gap in my notes re 14008 and 10324.
