I use Google Earth all the time , especially for getting pin point location markers for the rallies I get to.
Post codes are ok but are only accurate if the rallies are sign posted when getting close to the show. Helpful web sites regarding the rally site are very useful , especially if it's a show I've never visited before. Dave
