never had showmans engines over there, it was just a RL when it arrived, he`s made one hell of a job with it, new wheels, tender, boiler, all brass boiler fittings, new motion, all made in his own workshop.

I agree, it certainly "looks the part" but how much of it was made by Fowler's, from your list above it sounds like just the cylinder block ?

He should be concentrating his obviously very good engineering skills on producing new builds instead of conversions. Just my 2p worth.

I may be wrong but I think you will find Crankshaft flywheel and most of the motion along with brass boiler fittings came from my shed !
