First day of the show. I think GDSF has got's old spark back after a couple of quiet years. The roller display is something else, it has to be seen to be believed. I don't know the numbers of engines involved but it must be well in excess of the figures being quoted prior to the event. Those involved in putting it together deserve a very big pat on the back.
A very small selection of pictures from around the site.
Some of the special roller display:
Mike Dreelan's enormous convertible A&P:
Just love this diesel Marshall which has shown up:
Repatriated Sentinel in the NTET tent:
The big load coming into the site at lunchtime:
I was invited onto the footplate of Dolphin, they tell me it takes a week to clean it before they get to the show, amazing work:
Count the rollers!
I took many more but I don't feel I saw half of what is there, I've not even been to the top of the haulage area or in the woodsawing/threshing area. I've had to come home tonight to bring children back as they start school in the morning (!), I will be back at the show bright and early in the morning.
Don't miss it!
