Default More from Doort in Stoom

Thanks to Josh Menear for all his pictures. (Wonder if we saw each other?) Here's a few of mine - trying not to overlap. It's well worth the effort of going over to Dordrecht. Lot's to see - including a steam driven clog making machine - plus rides on tugs with triple expansion engines etc. etc. Friendly, informal - and tiring!

They tell me the name means 'Simmering pot' and they drive it backwards as it's easier to handle.

Note the Burrell SCC block, made under licence.

View of a RSJ Colonial engine from the top of the old Noord Hinder light ship. (Not steam but very interesting.)

An exceptionally smart Ruthermeyer roller with a Burrell SCC block.

A pair of 'concours' A&P tractors.

A magnificent McLaren with timber drug.

Burrell No. 1 doing what Scenics do.

A nice, late, Dutch Foden.

This Burrell was from hilly Derbyshire.

Kemna Stoomtractor "De Majoor"

4 ins Foster with a good load.

I know Josh posted a picture of JW's family outfit, but he's almost a neighbour so I couldn't resist another one.

Bill.
