Default Severnside Engineerium

Definitely not a rally, but yesterday I was privileged to visit this small private museum near Gloucester.

It's a sad story, the collection is being broken up and will be auctioned off at the end of the month.

'Enjoy' the report and, if you are within striking distance and your interest extends to include stationary steam make an efort to visit while there is still time...

A long shot - Is this the company that was going to build a steam railway (10 1/4" ?) along the bank of the Severn Estuary by Severnside / Severn Beach ?

Cheers
Carl.

No connection whatsoever..

The Severn Beach Miniature Railway is on the other side of the river to the north-west of Bristol.

Jo Nemeth who is behind it is a very competent engineer.

Default Marshall semi-portable

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that.

I think the only other Marshall one I have seen is that at Weeting and it is an 'undertype' which I find far less attractive.

The other two repatriations are unusual as neither was derelict when it came back as seems to be normal these days.

There was a full article about the semi portable being bought and moved from its working day setting when Donald and his dad bought it, in the NTET magazine 'Steaming' - probably 1990's
It came from High Wycombe from memory.
The traction used to visit rallies regularly back in the 90's, Much Marcle, North Nibley, Stonehouse etc.
