Default Morrisons Scarifier

Does anyone have a three tyne width Morrisons Scarifier for sale? Or if not a whole one, then we could do with the strainer bars to the hub (if that is what they are called?) and the hub extension casting.

To fit an R10, circa 1901. But the later ones were the same so all will be considered.

PM with contact details please.

Thanks.

Douglas

I think there was a 3 tyne Morrison scarifier at Prestons services.

Perhaps its worth you giving MLB a call?

Thanks Jim

I did that, hence the request for the hub casting and strainer bars which are missing.

I just wanted to see what else might be out there.

Doug,

What does a 3 tyne Morrison scarifyier look like?.

I know of a scarifier or two in the weeds here and there, but i'm buggered if I am sad enough to know the difference between the various makers.

Has David got a photo on Steam Scenes of a 3 tyne Morrison?

Brother in law took his scarifier off. I expect the hub would be availible for use as a pattern, all the hubs look much the same to me. I recall the b@stard is heavy.

Doug

The scarifier hub extension casting and bearing strap look almost identical on both Ant's and Ian Coopers' Avelings (irrespective of the relevant makers)

The hub and support hub bearing were on ants mangle when Ian and I distmantled the dam thing. We took the cap off the wheel too as I recall.

I'm sure he would let you borrow them to use as patterns.

I know Ian Cooper has not yet refitted his, though he will.

The steelwork should be an easy fabrication job. The 100x50 modern channel is almost precisely the old 4x2

Ants

Ian's
