Default Trevithick Day 2011

Here are some pictures I took over the weekend at Trevithick Day - thank you to the organisers and engine owners for such a fabulous event.

First engine into the town at not much past 7am was Clayton & Shuttleworth 48279, Phoenix:

McLaren Ploughing Engine 1552, Hero makes it's way through the traffic calming bollards into Camborne:

The line up of engine was led by the widest one, McLaren 897 Colossus:

An engine that has a new owner and plenty of work over the winter is Burrell Roller 3986:

Another ex-Dingles engine is Marshall Roller 88096:

First appearance at a rally since the 1960's is Ruston Proctor 48359:

Burrell Showman's Engine 3159, Gladiator:

Fowler Ploughing Engine 15163
:

Mr Wakeham expertly points McLaren 897 during the afternoon run:

Another roller which has not been on the scene for a number of years, Aveling & Porter 10350:

Rear shot of Ruston Proctor 48359:

Recently sold to a new owner in Cornwall Marshall Traction Engine 76751:

Traveling past the Trevithick memorial is Wallis and Steevens 7247 Gromit:

McLaren Road Loco 1181 King Harry during the afternoon run:

Robey Tandem Roller 42129:

This picture gives you some idea of conditions on Sunday!

Later in the day some of the engines assembled at King Edward Mine for their open day, here Aveling & Porter Roller 9128:

An engine that has had extensive recent work is Fowler 17481:

I will put the full set on Steam Scene soon.

Hadn't seen any pictures of Colossus in her finished state, looks brilliant! I do like the handrail for the steersman

Great pictures as always David. They've made a lovely job of 10350. I used to pop out of college to go and look at it when it was sat under a tree in someone's front garden near Pulborough, it looked really rough!!

Have only now seen these, thanks for posting them, excellent pictures.

Also, my thanks to Jon and the rest of the team for putting the event on

David, by the way, the first engine in town was 4040 by the way, followed by the 4"mac
