Smile J Hirst & Sons Steam Celebration

Our rally to celebrate the memory of the late David Hirst is still going to take place as planned.
As seen in a previous issue of Vintage Spirit our 'Vintage Gathering' will be taking place on the same weekend as the Beaulieu Steam Revival however we still aim to have a good amount of engines there.
Currently it is planned to be a 'working event' with demonstrations - threshing etc... and heavy haulage and also a road run on the Saturday leaving the site around midday.

This is also hopefully going to be the debut of the five ton Foden which some of you saw at Netley last year. A military tank will also be on hand and possibly a hovercraft (unconfirmed currently).

This will hopefully be a great event and hopefully not quite as wet as the last one.

Everyone is welcome.

Details:

June 5th - 6th 2010 (arrive on Friday 4th also)
Egbury Road Field
St Marybourne
Andover
Hampshire

Hope to see many of you there.

Yay!! I've been looking forward to this!!!

Is there an entry form system or are we just turning up? I was under the impression Beaulieu was invite only so we were looking for something to do that weekend.

Can we bring Trixy and the sawbench please!!

Love n hugs

As far as I know you just turn up, there's a donation for Help for Heroes I think but unsure on exactly who must pay that, the more the better really.

And as for bringing Trixy and the sawbench it would be best to ask Neil but yeah that should be great, I highly doubt he'll say no.

Just bringing it back up to the top to see a rough idea how many people will come / how popular it may be.
