Default Forncett Steam Museum Model Engineers' Day

This was a great day. (I admit to being biased.) I'm just doing a quick post to encourage others to add more photos, as I will do too when I've caught up on sleep.
Here's a 12 ins to the foot A&P Tractor, no. 7898 of 1913.

And here's the grin that comes from the first outing after purchase 3 days ago.

Here's a few more from Forncett. (Sorry about the date on the photos. I thought I'd fixed it.)
Andrew Godwin's Burrell in a sylvan setting.

More Burrells' with Stuart Hart's 9 ins 'Sentalike' lorry

Unless someone else beats me to it, I'll post some photos of the other exhibits later.

Such a shame I had to be away at University when this event took place! I had a sneaking suspicion of the new owner of that lovely Aveling tractor when i saw some photos of it on facebook outside my local! Congratulations to the owner, a lovely engine!

Lucky man - that's a corker of an engine with great history.

Thanks for the link to the other photos Jason B. Before the whole thing becomes history, here's a few of my pictures of the models.

Photographed through a perspex case, but you can't fail to admire the workmanship in this Corliss valved mill engine.

A 1 1/2 ins scale Burrell and friends next to the museum's 16 hp Marshall horizontal.

[IMG][/IMG]

A 'Minnie' (I think) against a backdrop of an engine from Tower Bridge.

[IMG][/IMG]

How many engines per square foot? 1879 beam engine from Hopwas, Staffordshire, in the background.

Bill.
