Default Rushden Cavalcade

Visited this rally on Saturday, my first visit. A good variety of engines were present, especially for a Wallis Expansion fan, two were present including a roller. Here are a few photographs.

The weather proved to be, erm . . . . changeable

which led to Aveling 6970 slipping to a stand on the slight rise out of the arena.

So, in came the heavy gang with a push-pole

A £1.50 programme was packed full of information, apart from engine works nos. (???), therefore can someone identify this Burrell please.

Is the identity of the 'gigantic engine' a secret?

McLaren 1332.

Nice to see pics of A&P 6970, I heard it was going, one I haven't seen before. Hopefully I will see it later in the season!

Are, this is the competition ! Mind you, if it smokes that much it might as well be a fire eating machine !!
