Default 47th Haddenham Steam Rally & Heavy Horse Show

The number of entries to this rally was similar to the numbers pre pandemic. Garrett 4cd Tractor 33295 Felix formerly Princes Royal made its first rally appearance in 27 years after undergoing a 25 year rebuild. It was also I believe the second appearance of Fowler 13922 Girlie after its absence from the rally field for about 15 years. A nice touch after the first heavy horse parade was the playing of the national anthem followed by a minuets silence reflecting Queen Elizabeth II love of horses.

As usual the Make and works numbers of the engines present can be seen in the associated picture album.

Default Haddenham 2022

As the pictures from Paul show, summer is effectively over:

https://www.internationalsteam.co.uk.../ukindex22.htm

There are still a few more (smaller) events to come but the season for us will end with 'Turvey' at the weekend. See you all there on Friday for some sunshine???

After which it will be time to escape to the Far East where, hopefully, we can avoid what is, by common consent, going to be an unpleasant winter all round.
