Steam in the Park

Stockwood Discovery Centre Stockwood Park London Road Luton LU1 4LX Tel: 01582 548600 9 engines expected and the first public steaming of Aveling & Porter no 10471 reg NM2570 after a long restoration from a playground roller, plus minitures and other exhibit's. There is also The Mossman Carriage collection is the largest and most significant vehicle collection of its kind in the country, including originals from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. Stockwood Park, Luton - this Sunday
Dennis Goodyear, the project team leader, has confirmed that Aveling 'E' type No. 10471 will be in steam on Sunday at Stockwood Park, so do come along and support him and the restoration team. As Steve says, there is lots to see in addition to the resident and visiting steam engines. Sandy
