•1pm The STEAM ENGINES enter the main arena for the first time today. Following the customary twice round some will stay in and pull loads throughout the afternoon


•2pm Parade of all types of COMMERCIAL VEHICLES vehicles dating from the early 1920s. Examples from most of the long gone Great British Manufacturers. Please refer to the commercial vehicle section in the programmes for full details


•3pm John Coulson provides the commentary for the GREAT BRITISH PEDAL CYCLE DISPLAY They are all here Penny Farthings, Boneshakers-can anyone ride them without falling off?


•3.15pm A 1908 Buick and a 1915 Ford model T are the two oldest cars here at the Pickering Traction Engine Rally and heading the parade of VINTAGE & CLASSIC CARS


•4pm RIDGESIDE FALCONRY return for the second flying display of the afternoon


•4.30pm Parade of MILITARY VEHICLES with the section organiser Ian Burnham


•5pm The final GRAND STEAM PARADE of full size traction engines.

Seems to be going down hill steam wise.
Have noticed less steam last few years thought this was a traction engine rally ??
Not a pop concert.
Their was a lot more steam when this event was organised by The Events Office ???

I think you will find that one of the two reasons stems from the 9th August 2009. The other I believe is that in recent years a lot more travellers are atending the event..

Perhaps one of the reasons the steam section is getting smaller is that the organisers dont respond to requests for entry details, we were promised entry forms way back in march but never heard anymore.
