The Advances that I have seen recently have had computer made up artwork and then laser printed onto vinyls. Dave Wothers' roller also has newer but proper style transfers, If you are successful, please let me know as I need a couple or three for my little diesel Advance. I have two cast plates which Snail Trail and Dave Crampton both copied, but these will be too big for you I guess.

I was told many years ago by someone who was very knowledgeable about Wallis & Steevens rollers that the Advance transfer was only used on Advance diesel rollers not steamers!

The Gentleman after the tranfers has a lovely six ton advance steamer, but he has just added a diesel to his collection, and that is what the transfers are for.

Did not want to mention diesel on here!! he he.

Still after some advice on how to recreate some.

Many thanks
Alistair

Hi

There is an article about walis transfors in Vintage Spirit magazine, I think it is the march edition, not sure if you have seen it, or it is of any help to you. I can put details of it here, if anyone wants?

Cheers

Dave
