Default A few pictures form Barleylands

Spent the weekend helping on the Bredgar & Wormshill Light Railway's Compound Ruston & Horsby roller in the 'road making' section. Managed to get a few shots in between long periods of rest!

Was nice to see & compare some Rustons, especially the other compound that was there. BUT, being in the 'road making' section we were not allowed out for a trundle during show times when engines from the main line up were! Having about 7 engines in a road making section with only a small amount of room to move around in was not my cup of tea!

Other than that i really enjoyed the show, Steam ploughing was very good although they weren't working hard since they were just ploughing/cultivating the same section over and over, my suggestion was that we used the roller to compact the ground and then get them to plough it!

Another highlight was near the Beer tent on Saturday night with a few Showmans generating (Full size & Miniature) including Burrel Scenic No.1

Thanks go to all involved in the show and special thanks to: Grahame, John, Chris, Ben, Colin & Vickie, sorry if i've missed any of you out (Or mispelt your names for that matter!)

Anyway here are a few pictures:

And finally a picture of a very nice Foden Traction engine, Somthing a bit more special than the rest!
