Steam up at Masham Station 23rd & 24th October

There is to be a repeat of last year's Steam Up at Masham Station,opposite the old Rally field, this weekend, in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. There should be 6 or 7 engines and the Turner Family's Organ. There will be a pie & pea supper on Saturday night and the usual tombola & cakes etc . All proceeds to the YAA. last year we raised £750 and were very grateful for all the support received. We gratefully thank David Robinson for all his help in organising this event. He has also managed to procure some local brown murky potent liquid for the evening. With a bit of luck there may be a road run to our new Rally fields subject to final agreement. We are very hopeful.

It starts at 11.00am and continues through until late afternoon, then Saturday evening
supper starts 7.30pm, and last year the showman's and organ were lit up until we couldnt stand the cold and wet any longer. It was bonfire night and a bit brass monkeys. We have done it earlier this year hoping its a bit warmer, but you never know.
Engines expected are: Dave Robinson's Marshall, 'Cressing Temple', Les Vernon's Fowler,'Delilah', Keith Collins' Pandora, Dave Bradley's Mclaren, and
Bill Summerell's Aveling Roller, 'Luci' up to now. 2 down today but shoud still be a good show for a small do.
