Default Rugwick

Work took me down to Ewhurst so I poped into Rugwick, seemed to be less engines than previous years, unless I was looking in the wrong place!

Yeah there were only a fre engines this year.
Bicknell bought 3, Luggs bought two an there was Stargazer owned by the organiser.
Its a great event, very friendly. We are always made very welcome by the organiser an his team.

Although there was the odd shower the weather was very good an there was plenty of public out an about.
Definately recomended!

Just got back from attending, good show just a bit dis-appointed, advertised in VS and OG unless I read it wrong as 20 full size engines but only 6 in attendance. The lay out where the engines were could never have held 20. Couldn't make up my mind whether to attend this one or Eastbourne but never got a reply from the organisers from the latter confirming attendance. At least 1 in attendance in Rudgwick that I hadn't got a photo of so good from that side.

They always over estimate their amount of engines.dont think he has ever got 20 engines there(full size) Seems a lot of regulars have stopped going and now he has to compeet with Wings And Wheels show at Dunsfold about 7 miles away.It is a good show when the exhibiters are not upset.

I'm sure it was much bigger engine wise years ago on the 'old date', I can remember you arriving with the Sentinel Ross on the front of Andy Caldow's ERF

Yes broke down in guildford town center with injector trouble.Andy came to the rescue.Good shows then but alot of exhibitors seem to have been upset by the organisers so i am told.Organiseres should remember without exhibitors there is no show so try and keep them happy.Sentinel now in Grampian museum. It was only the 2nd time I had steamed it.Drove it home from Rudgewick stripped it down, made new blast pipe.sorted injector and water tank out and took it to Dorset 2 weeks later.

Shame - used to be one of the best along with Parham and Ardingly and the brill Downs rallies.
