OK, the flywheel has all been welded up. 2 spokes had fatigue fractures. Should be back with us tomorrow.
Here's a pic of it having been welded, NDT tested, shotblasted & primed.

But surely if the relevant NDTs have been carried out by a competent person, it's no more of a liability than a 100 year old untested-in-anyway original flywheel..?

Default Cast Welding

My father pinned and cast welded the diff gears on the Clayton & Shuttleworth 34060 my brother now owns after the gear snapped in 1990 or 1991.Engine still driving and pulling loads perfectly Tom

our marshall got 2 spokes cracked & stitched - sorry but - no - new flywheel been cast .

3166 - snuggled up in shed .

Ours was done by the same guy and to he same lloyds code as our block repair and that's under 160psi. I have no problem with modern techniques as long as its done properly
